Ru was raised in a real estate family, giving him a unique perspective and innate understanding of the industry. Before becoming an agent, he worked in film production and the architecture department of a real estate developer in Mumbai, India. He was an assistant director in Bollywood, honing his organizational and interpersonal skills while managing the cast and crew of a sizeable production with many moving parts. During his time in the development field, he also gained valuable knowledge concerning architecture, floorplan design, and general building structure. Both experiences help him better serve his clients, whether advising first-time homebuyers on the merits of a potential condo or overseeing multiple workflows with a developer. Ru was born in Ahmedabad, India but grew up in Mumbai. He moved to New York to attend college. He speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Outside of work, he enjoys reading up on history, listening to music, and getting lost in a new game. He loves learning new things and uses film and art to express himself creatively.
