A major player in Manhattan luxury real estate is now looking to “own” Boston, too. Serhant, led by New York broker and TV personality Ryan Serhant, on Tuesday announced it has launched a new Boston office with some big names from rival agencies. Founding members for Massachusetts include: Michael Carucci, from Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty; Antonio Khoury, from Compass Group; Jorge Sariego from Boston One Realty Group; and Kyle Farrell and Joe Albano (aka the “Prop Cousins”) from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. Chris Delaney, also from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, is Serhant’s Massachusetts director. Serhant said it’s starting in Boston with a roster of around 30 agents, working out of a Back Bay office. Ryan Serhant grew up in Topsfield, and has had phenomenal success with his fast-growing firm in the nearly six years since its founding. Having a Netflix series about Serhant agents’ exploits in New York, “Owning Manhattan,” certainly hasn’t hurt. After graduating from Hamilton College in 2006, Serhant moved to New York to pursue a career in acting, though he quickly shifted his focus to real estate. His eponymous firm now operates in 15 states.
