Brett Reasoner isn't supposed to be here — and that's exactly why he serves the way he does.

Three years ago, Brett was lying in an ICU bed on life support, his neck cut open from one side to the other. In a single year, he had lost his marriage, his job, and his home, and been diagnosed with thyroid cancer at 34. Lying in that hospital bed, angry and searching for answers, it was his twelve-year-old daughter who offered the perspective that changed everything: maybe he should be grateful God carried him through it all.

That sentence rerouted his life. Brett started his real estate license from that hospital bed and finished it within two weeks of surgery. He rebuilt everything on faith — and built one of the fastest-rising real estate practices in Colorado out of it.

Before real estate, Brett spent more than a decade as a global talent acquisition executive, relocating families and executives across the country. He understood a move from the inside long before he ever held a license: not just the logistics, but the fear underneath them — the way a relocation looks like an opportunity on paper and feels like an upheaval in every other way. That experience, combined with surviving the hardest transition of his own life, forged the conviction that defines his work today: behind every transaction is a human being carrying something heavy, and they deserve someone who sees it.

In just two years, that approach made Brett a top 1% agent in the nation, independently ranked by RealTrends Verified, and earned him Rookie of the Year honors at his first brokerage. Today, he is a Founding Agent of SERHANT Colorado — hand-selected as one of the first faces of the brand's expansion into the state — where he leads The Cornerstone Group: a Denver-based team rooted in faith, built on the conviction that people come before property, and named for the foundation everything else in his life was rebuilt on.

Brett specializes in executive relocations and life-transition clients across the Denver metro and south corridor, including Castle Rock, Parker, Douglas County, Castle Pines, Lone Tree, Cherry Hills Village, and Greenwood Village. Whether his clients are crossing the country for a new chapter or crossing town for one — a growing family, a fresh start, a dream finally in reach — he goes deep on the person before ever talking about the property, prepares them for what could go wrong before it does, and makes sure the moments worth celebrating actually get celebrated.

Beyond the business, Brett begins every morning in prayer, is an active partner at Plum Creek Church in Castle Rock, and formerly served on the board of directors of the Gift of Adoption Fund. He is engaged to the love of his life, Laura, and together they are blending a family of five. He still calls his mom every single day.
