About the Role

The Staff Accountant (A/P & A/R) supports the accuracy, completeness, and audit‑readiness of financial data across SERHANT.’s multi‑entity environment. This role replaces the former A/P Specialist position and expands to include select A/R responsibilities. This position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in multi‑system environments (NetSuite, Ramp, Stripe), and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, multi‑entity close process. 

You will support vendor onboarding, A/P processing in Ramp, corporate credit card review, employee T&E reimbursement, select A/R billing and collections tasks, and assist with month‑end close responsibilities across entities.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, ensuring required documentation (W9, ACH, contracts) is current.

  • Process A/P for multiple entities, ensuring correct GL coding, department tagging, and entity assignment. 

  • Process corporate credit card charges and employee T&E in Ramp in accordance with policy. 

  • Monitor and escalate approval routing issues within Ramp; communicate blockers to accounting leadership. 

  • Validate invoices for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with purchasing/procurement requirements. 

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, duplicates, or coding issues prior to posting.

  • Support customer and agent billing across entities, including invoice creation and follow‑up. 

  • Assist in monitoring A/R aging, posting payments, and resolving unapplied or misapplied cash.

  • Liaise with customers, agents, and internal teams on billing questions and discrepancies. 

  • Triage and manage the shared AP / AR inbox daily.

  • Maintain timely and organized communication with internal teams, agents, and external vendors. 

  • Maintain accurate vendor, customer, and transaction records across NetSuite, Ramp, and Stripe. 

  • Ensure all supporting documentation is attached to transactions for audit readines.

  • Support month‑end close tasks including account reconciliations, accruals, AP/AR aging validation, and variance investigation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience in multi‑entity environments. 

  • Minimum 2 years hands‑on NetSuite ERP experience (required). 

  • Minimum 2 years usage of Ramp for AP/credit card workflows (required). 

  • Understanding of AP/AR workflows, accruals, and prepaid/amortization logic (required). 

  • Preferred: Experience in real estate, brokerage, subscription‑based, or multi‑state organizations. 

  • Preferred: Experience with Stripe, SkySlope/real‑estate deal systems, or high‑volume transaction environments. 

Skills:
  • High accuracy, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage confidential data. 

  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain financial items to non‑accounting stakeholders. 

  • Detail‑oriented approach with consistent accuracy in naming conventions, coding, and documentation.
