NoHo is compact, oft-overlooked residential enclave set amidst a cluster of Manhattan’s trendiest neighborhoods. The neighborhood contains a collection of chic restaurants and bars and is home to the exclusive Great Jones and Bond Streets. The area’s artsy past remains present in Astor Place Theatre, The Public Theater, and Joe’s Pub.
The Life
From the main pedestrian strip of Lafayette Street, one can turn at any corner and find delicious food, a tasty drink, or a shop or gallery that catches the eye. The theaters located in the northern half of NoHo offer weekly entertainment, and just beyond the neighborhood’s bounds are places like Washington Square Park, NoLita, LES, and the East Village. And, despite its central location, NoHo retains a wonderful sense of quietude and privacy.
