Sylvia Marte's journey in real estate began as support staff in a Washington, DC boutique real estate firm. Her experience evolved through property management, desktop publishing & graphic design, and corporate communications & marketing in one of New York City's giant commercial real estate firms. Sylvia's passion for all things real estate has consistently developed, matured, and evolved.
Raised in Philadelphia, Sylvia relocated to the Washington DC area and then to New York City before returning to the City of Brotherly Love. Once home, she quickly acquired her Pennsylvania real estate sales license and explored many aspects of the business she has grown to love. While pursuing her niche in Philadelphia, she helped many real estate sales professionals market and build their brands. She was also invited to join a Philadelphia housing counseling agency, where she deepened her connection to the community and helped educate first-time homebuyers.
Sylvia's approach to real estate is more than just selling. She creates authentic, long-lasting relationships and acts as a liaison between her clientele and their dreams and goals, bringing them to fruition. Her connection never ends at closing, as she quickly becomes that real estate asset which turns into family. Joining Serhant. is her proverbial "homecoming" and the logical path to Sylvia's evolution. With Serhant., the possibilities are endless, and Sylvia is now in the hands of this real estate powerhouse, full of the innovative tools and social media presence to guide her exceptional services to the extraordinary.
While Sylvia loves real estate, she loves her family even more. Her oldest son, Justin, was born in Manhattan and is a diehard Knicks fan, leading to their personal Knicks vs. Sixers rivalry. Her youngest son, Lucas, is an autistic, nonverbal child who has taught Sylvia to view situations from varying perspectives, to be patient, think outside the box, and to embrace differences in all of us. Her husband Yeison is Lucas' soulmate, and Sylvia often says God has such a sense of humor. They are her motivation. Sylvia is also the proud mom to a 1-year-old Shih-Poo named Chewy, who lives up to his name at every opportunity, and is a 10-inch tall dog with the heart of a pit-bull.
