Nicky DeFosset is well respected and highly regarded among her customers, clients, and colleagues and has proven herself as "a savant" in the real estate industry. She co-founded the incredibly successful DeFosset Team along with her identical twin, Suzie. Ranked as the top-producing team at its previous brokerage, The DeFosset Team has done $350M in sales and nearly 175 separate transactions in just five years. Clients rave about Nicky and Suzie's lightning-quick responsiveness, humor, and positivity, and they are given comfort and confidence by the duo's in-depth market knowledge and high standard of professionalism.

 

Nicky is known for her attention to detail, analytical thinking, focus, and drive. Her client network includes top corporate executives, international investors, and celebrities. She is well versed in neighborhoods across the city, from the Upper East Side down to TriBeCa, where she has lived for the past 11 years. Nicky is highly personable and extremely sensitive to her clients' needs. Nicky spent a decade in public relations and sales before pursuing a career in real estate. She initially worked at a top PR firm in Los Angeles, representing A-list clientele along with real estate, fashion, and luxury lifestyle brands. She and Suzie then opened their own PR agency, which served high-profile domestic and international brands. She has worked on top editorials for major publications, developed strategic media plans, and overseen social media campaigns and product launches. She leverages all of that experience when marketing a home. Her proven sales techniques and innovative approach have led to record prices in record time.

 

Originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Nicky attended Cranbrook Kingswood and competed on the varsity high school ski team. Her love of skiing continues to this day, and she hits the slopes in Aspen or Europe whenever she can. She also enjoys visiting family in Florida and creating fun content and inspired marketing materials. Nicky holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management, graduating with honors from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business. She also participated in the well-known Semester at Sea program, traveling around the world for three months, and studying abroad at Oxbridge's prestigious L'Academie de Paris.

 

Nicky is an avid skier who participates in The Directors' Invitational Ski Classic each year to support the U.S. Ski Team and is a two-time triathlete, where she competed with Team In Training, which raises funds Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is a fitness devotee, you can find her running on the West Side Highway or at the gym at least four times a week. Nicky utilizes her competitive edge to achieve all of her client’s goals throughout their buying, selling, or renting experience. She is an active supporter and member of The New York Junior League and is a council member for The Fresh Air Fund, and she volunteers for God's Love We Deliver.
